City Scooters
10-inch pneumatic wheels, 250W rear hub motor, deck folds flat. Battery charges in 4 hours. Range: approximately 22 km at 70 kg rider weight on flat terrain. 11.8 kg unfolded.
Front fork and rear spring suspension. IP54 rated. This is what we'd suggest if you commute more than 3 km per trip or cross older paved areas. Heavier (14 kg) but noticeably better on rough ground.
Lightest option: 10.4 kg, 8-inch solid tyres, no suspension. Good for flat routes under 4 km where you combine with public transit. Solid tyres mean zero punctures — the tradeoff is comfort.
Dual motor, front and rear. Significantly more stable on hills. Heavier and pricier — better for people in Essen-Kettwig or Werden than those riding flat Innenstadt routes.
Commuter Bags
Roll-top main compartment, dedicated laptop sleeve up to 15 inches, quick-access front zip. Reflective strip across the chest strap. Available in black or slate grey. Works on a scooter or a desk.
No laptop compartment. This is the bag for people who don't carry a computer to work. 14L is enough for lunch, a jacket, a tablet or book, and your phone charger.
Two 10L waterproof panniers with aluminium hooks. Fits racks up to 16 mm diameter. No velcro or elastic. They clip on and rattle-free at speed.
Small shoulder bag for short trips. Fits a tablet, wallet, phone, and a jacket folded tight. Doesn't slip off when you're on a scooter if you wear it across the chest.
Cycling Gear
800 lumen, USB-C rechargeable, three brightness modes, 120° side slots for crossroad visibility. Mounts in seconds with no tools.
Frame lock plus 1.8 m braided cable. Sold Secure Silver rated. Fits most city and hybrid frames. The cable threads through the wheel and around a fixed object — what the frame lock alone can't do.
Front and rear clip-on mudguards for 26–28 inch wheels. Not permanent — they clip on and remove in two minutes. The price of avoiding a wet stripe up your back in October.
50 lumen rear light with a wide-angle lens. USB-C. Pairs with the Lumis 800 if you want matched lighting. Equally fine alone.
Floor pump mechanics, pocket size. Works on Presta and Schrader valves. Gets a tyre from 1 bar to 6 bar in about 90 pumps without leaving you gasping.
Shopper Totes
14oz cotton canvas, double-stitched handles rated to 12 kg, 42 × 38 cm body. Three colours. Machine washable. Does not stretch or lose shape after three months of weekly use — which is more than we can say for most.
Folds to 12 × 9 cm, lives in a jacket pocket. Ripstop nylon, 18L capacity, small zip pouch integrated into the base. This is the default answer when someone asks us what to carry for a quick errand.
Waxed cotton exterior, unlined interior, internal zip pocket, D-ring for keys. It gets better as it ages. After a year it looks like something you bought specifically because it looked like that.
