2. Data we collect and why

Contact form submissions. When you use the contact form on this site, we collect your name, email address and the content of your message. We use this data to respond to your enquiry or process your order. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures) or Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to enquiries).

Email newsletter. If you subscribe to email updates, we store your email address for the purpose of sending those updates. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent). You may withdraw consent at any time by replying to any newsletter email with "unsubscribe" in the subject line.

Essential cookies. This site uses essential cookies necessary for basic site function (cookie consent preference stored in localStorage). No analytics, advertising or tracking cookies are used. See our Cookie Policy for details.

Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard server log data (IP address, browser type, pages accessed, timestamps) for security and technical purposes. This data is deleted after 7 days. Legal basis: Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

3. Data sharing

We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Data may be shared with:

  • Delivery service providers (DHL, DPD) when processing an order — only the data necessary for delivery.
  • Our hosting provider, under a data processing agreement compliant with Article 28 GDPR.
  • Competent authorities if required by applicable law.

4. Retention periods

Contact form data is retained for up to 2 years unless it relates to an ongoing order or legal obligation. Order-related data is retained for 10 years in accordance with § 257 HGB (German Commercial Code). Newsletter subscriber data is retained until you unsubscribe.

5. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to: access your personal data (Art. 15); rectify inaccurate data (Art. 16); request erasure under certain conditions (Art. 17); restrict processing (Art. 18); data portability (Art. 20); object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21); and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The competent supervisory authority for Northrhine-Westphalia is the Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit (LDI NRW), Postfach 20 04 44, 40102 Düsseldorf.
